ChinfluenCE maps China’s political and economic influence in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland through media analysis and research of elites.

The second phase of the project identifies key agenda-setters who influence the public discourse. These actors of the China debate and their mutual links are subsequently subjected to a social network analysis (SNA).

The analysis responds to the following questions:

  • Who are the key agenda-setters influencing the discourse on China in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia?

  • What positions do they adopt on China?

  • How are they linked to one another and how these linkages influence the existing discourse?

Research on the issues is ongoing, its results will be released during autumn 2017. In order not to miss any new data or articles, please subscribe to the project newsletter.
